PSA TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCTION
Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology has redefined
non-cryogenic air separation and oxygen production. At the core of
this innovative process is the use of high-performance Zeolite
Molecular Sieve (ZMS), which enables optimal efficiency in gas
separation.
The operation of a PSA system involves several key stages for
processing compressed air. First, the air is channeled into a Twin
Tower module, outfitted with automatic switching valves to ensure
uninterrupted operation. Prior to entering this module, the air
undergoes efficient drying via a Refrigerated Dryer to remove
moisture. Once dried, the compressed air comes into contact with a
bed of Zeolite molecular sieves for separation.
A standout feature of Zeolite Molecular Sieves is their selective
adsorption capability—they have a strong affinity for nitrogen
molecules. This unique property allows them to effectively trap
nitrogen, letting the target oxygen gas pass through unimpeded,
